I don’t know what kind of being James Gunn is at this point. He seems like a director of geekcentric film that was built from the ground up for the benefit of mankind. He just seems to get it. He knows that in these times we need films that are fun from beginning to end and will absolutely take us away from our complicated lives for a couple of hours. Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2, like its predecessor, does that spectacularly. Read more...

As you probably know (if you are a regular reader of Full Page Bleed, you are HARDCORE with this stuff), the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 movie is JUST about ready to hit theaters all over the world, and the world (scratch that)...the UNIVERSE is ready. Or is it? There’s a whole lot of new characters and developments about to be unleashed on us in this movie, so we need to be properly prepared for the onslaught. Guardians-3000-006-460x300The All New Marvel Now has been pretty good for me. Since this second wave I have had the opportunity to see some titles that I read as a kid come back and make a go at it. Black Widow is one of my favorites as well as the the mini series Deadly Hands of Kung Fu. I am still on the fence as far as The All New Invaders goes. It is funny that was the book I was most excited about reading and the one I have as yet to get a real feel for. Spider-Man 2099 has been good, She-Hulk not so much and Ms Marvel was surprising for me. Today is yet another title from the All New Marvel Now line up (although some will say (me too) that this had more to do with the movie coming out than bringing the title back). This title came in very close to the excitement level as the Invaders did. Most of the books of the original series I owned I paid less than a penny a piece for, and it was what I was actually hoping for when another title came out with part of the name in the title that became yet another mega blockbuster for Marvel. The book is Guardians 3000, I got it, here is the review. Read more...

Catching up with him at Wizard World Austin, I received a great lesson in acting and how the producers went out telling him when he would bite the dust on the The Walking Dead. Read more...
