“The guilt... means your work is not finished.” This is the most poignant line in Daredevil Season 2, as Father Lantom (played brilliantly by Peter McRobbie) once again tries to console Matt Murdock after he fails to save someone’s life as his vigilante alter-ego, Daredevil. This is Lantom’s only appearance in Season 2, but once again, his wisdom indeed helps Matt with his duty as “The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen”. Read more...

So, I’m a fan of hip hop music. I grew up listening to Biggie, Tupac and the Wu-Tang Clan. And everyone in between. I don’t often get a chance to write about that love on a geek/pop culture website...but sometimes I’m able to sneak it in there. One of the coolest songs Notorious B.I.G. ever wrote was the “Ten Crack Commandments”, where Big basically...well...lists his simple rules for being a drug dealer. Not saying it’s the right thing to write a song about...but whatever. It is what it is. And what it is is one of the best written hip hop songs of all time, in my opinion. Read more...

After Wilson Fisk beat Matt, Foggy, Karen, and Ben to the punch and revealed himself to the New York public in the eighth episode, the foursome is now reeling and dumbfounded on what exactly to do next. However, the episode first starts out with Matt fighting a mysterious leather clad Ninja who might have ties to the mysterious group of ninja's they encountered while he and Stick came to the aid of a little boy. Matt goes to see Father Lantom to wax philosophical on his struggle with his morality and his Catholic beliefs asking him if he believes in "The Devil." Lantom's explanation is a rousing tale that even those who don't follow religion should listen to. Read more...

Welcome. If you haven’t heard Marvel’s Daredevil on NetFlix is a hit, and with good reason. From the mind-blowing pace of the first episode leaving all but a few origin details for later, to the constant flow of notable Daredevil lesser knowns the series is incredible. While I have watched the entire run it is my pleasure to review episodes 05 and 06 for you because they contain so much of what defines the characters and their ultimate motivations. It is in these episodes where bonds are made and the conclusions at series end become poignant. There are more of these series coming, we better get moving. The BurnChimp has given the signal. After months and weeks of set photos, numerous interviews, teaser trailer, and full trailers, Marvel's first television series deal with Netflix is finally upon us and it was very worth the wait. This is everything that fans could have hoped for with it's well rounded characters, dark atmospheric take on a small world within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and great action scenes. After the first two episodes, which establish Hell's Kitchen as a place that needs a hero such as a Man In Black Mask, the third episode introduces us to an assassin named John Healy, who brutally and purposefully crushes the skull of a mob boss, who was a rival to Wilson Fisk. Afterwards, a wealthy man named James Wesley comes to Nelson and Murdock offices with a huge check to represent Healy in his trial. Suspicious of Wesley's intent and his connection to the company Union Allied, Matt agrees to take the case and convinces the jury to acquit Healy of any wrongdoing. Meanwhile, Karen is given a dubious proposition by Union Allied to take hush money in exchange for her silence on any type of malicious or shady activity that she experienced. As Healy goes free, Matt tracks him down and engages in a well-choreographed fight in which Healy almost proves to be a bit much for Matt. However, Matt forces him to give up who he's working for and he reveals Wilson Fisk's name. Fearing for his life, he impales his own head on a big shard of glass. As the episode ends, we are introduced to the aforementioned Wilson Fisk, who is portrayed in a way that fans haven't seen. Read more...
