This week we got an interesting change of pace on AoS. And while I haven’t been totally on board with “Philinda”...after this week’s episode, I am starting to get it. Last week S.H.I.E.L.D. director Jeff Mace was captured by the Watchdogs while Daisy Johnson was “Quaking” the crap out of Tucker Shockley (who basically was “gifted” with the powers of classic Marvel baddie, Nitro). The Watchdogs and their “Superior” Anton Ivanov, used  Shockley to distract S.H.I.E.L.D. and took Mace as their prize. Of course they did...it’s not like they would just have some “Inhuman alien filth” hanging around. They killed two birds with one stone there. Read more...

It's been a long while since I have sat in front of my keyboard and did this and all I can say is spell check is wonderful. Enough of that though. It is well documented (by me), that I am not what anyone would call a gamer. For the most part I am satisfied with Mario Kart and the like. Read more...

Welcome back! Hope everyone had a good holiday season. It’s a new year, and with that comes the second half of Season 4 of AoS! The second portion of the season is titled L.M.D., which (in case you don’t read the comics) stands for Life Model Decoy. In comic lore, L.M.D.s are traditionally robotic decoys used by S.H.I.E.L.D. to trick their enemies and even their allies sometimes on missions. Nick Fury Sr. used to use them all the time...in fact, we recently found out that he has used them A LOT more than we ever knew about and he’s been growing old and crazy in space for decades...we aren’t even sure if we’ve EVER truly seen the actual Fury in action over the past 5 decades of comics. If you are a Cinematic Universe only fan, you will remember Tony Stark mentioning he is not one when Coulson unexpectedly visits Stark Tower in the beginning of the first Avengers film. That was a cool little easter egg at the time, but now Agents has decided to make L.M.D.s a major storyline arc. Fun! Read more...

After a few weeks hiatus, we finally return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s super spy wing! Last we saw Coulson and the gang, they had discovered the truth behind the Bauers and Eli Morrow At Momentum Labs.  Turns out Momentum is owned by the evil corporation, Roxxon, and their matter creation research is derived from the Dark Matter investigated by Agent Carter in the 40’s (as seen in the second season of her series). The scientists were using the Darkhold (a book with mystical origins) to create what they “think” is carbon, but actually a substance from another dimension. Turns out it wasn’t Lucy and Joseph that were the bad guys at all, but Eli himself has turned evil by the Dark Matter and he’s the one that turned Lucy into an apparition and beat Joseph into a coma. It’s back! Yup AoS season 4 has begun and it begins with a roar! Last season was touch and go, with a lot of side plots and stuff going on, and it seems this season is a bit of back to basics with Coulson and his team. With a few kinks. Read more...

Sometimes I think it’s not even right for me to write reviews on Marvel Studios’ movies. What can I say? I’ve never received one paycheck from the company, and I feel something of a “company man”. I’ve grown up adoring the Marvel Universe and its characters. You can’t look in any direction in my house and not see some kind of Marvel merchandise. But for Captain America: Civil War, I just can’t sit here and not speak about the movie. It’s not even a movie to me at this point. After seeing it I can only call it a materialisation of everything I love about comic book superheroes, specifically Marvel’s brand of heroes. Read more...

Previously on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Saddest episode ever (it’s best to read that imagining Comic Book Guy from The Simpson’s voice in your head)! After tracking Malick to Siberia to investigate an Inhuman prison camp they are planning to build, Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter discovered they were already imprisoning an Inhuman at this facility. They soon found out that this prisoner was a newly Inhuman Russian general who found out about these plans and had gone rogue, with plans to murder the Russian prime minister. His name is Androvich and was an old Marvel villain named Iron Curtain, who had the powers in the MCU as a fellow Russian baddie, Darkstar, who had the power to manipulate Dark Matter (a substance we learned about in the Agent Carter TV series this season), and control a shadowlike clone of herself to do her bidding. Previously in the first half of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3: Coulson continued to operate S.H.I.E.L.D. in secret and the team got to tracking down new Inhumans that recently underwent Terrigenisis by consuming fish and fish oil supplements because a substantial amount of Terrigen infected the ecosystem. At the same time, President Ellis instated a publicized agency called the ATCU as a response team to the inhuman “epidemic”, headed by a woman name Rosalind Price. As we learned more about Price and her agency, a new dangerous Inhuman called Lash was discovered to be murdering his own kind. Not trusting Price at first, Coulson eventually felt drawn to Price and the two eventually came to an understanding about how to handle the Inhuman problem, much to the dismay of Daisy “Skye” Johnson...and my own stomach. I was not a fan of the woman. Turns out Lash was none other than Agent May’s ex husband and S.H.I.E.L.D. ally, Andrew Garner. Read more...
