"Bond. James Bond." Roger Moore was the third cinematic Bond to utter those words. He played the character from 1973's "Live And Let Die" to 1985's "From  A View To A Kill". rocketeer2In this day of block buster Super Movie at our fingertips, coming out about every 3 months, it is hard to believe it hasn't always been this way. The horrible, awful fact is it hasn't. There was a time not more than a couple of decades (think 90's) when getting to watch ANY super hero movie was a treat. We didn't care if it was on TV or at the movies, we got to see our heroes on a screen. There wasn't the tech that we have today back then, and there wasn't the care for the presentation that there is now. Obviously Superman was a perfect vehicle that had both to make one of, if not the greatest Super hero movie of all time. BUT many weren't as bad as we think they are. Howard the Duck, yea that was just bad! Dolph Lundgren's Punisher..Yea really bad, but the movies on this list? Yea some of it was still bad, but you know what? They weren't that bad. Let's get started.   Read more...

Moving on with what was hot and what was not this week. One family found thislion week to be far too hot for them when their vehicle caught on fire during a family outing. One would hope when their vehicle decides to spontaneously combust that it would do so in a really convenient spot, like next to the fire department. Unfortunately for this family they were driving through a safari park when their van decided to start smoking and catch on fire. Again, one would hope this would happen in a convenient area, maybe somewhere around the penguins habitat or while visiting the sloths. This family was right in the middle of the lions’ den. Luckily for the family a park ranger was near by and got the people out of their burning vehicle into his and everyone, even the lions were not harmed. The family had a pretty good sense of humor about the whole ordeal and a good sense of humor will always land you a spot on the hot list. Read more...
