Just recently, Warner Bros. And DC Entertainment released the controversial superhero film Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, which marked the first time in the history of live-action screen productions that Superman and Batman appear together in the same production. While I have not yet seen this duel-themed film, it still remains in my "must-see" list of movies as I remain curious about how far each of these two famous superheroes would go to defeat the other. A coincidence about Batman v. Superman's release is that it happened in the same screen season when WrestleMania 32 took place (it aired on PPV by the way) and when another versus-themed movie Justice League vs. Teen Titans got released. It looks like we are in a major season of versus mania on both big and small screens, and there is no doubt that it will continue with the release of Captain America: Civil War, which will see Captain America battling Iron Man. It’s not every day that I get to interview a talent artist who should be working for one of the big comic book publishers, let alone be friends with one for over a decade. Tim Doyle is an underrated force in the world of comic book and pop culture art and has been running Nakatomi for almost seven years. He’s come a long way since working at Funny Papers, a now defunct comic book store that was located in Dobie Mall on the edge of campus at the University of Texas. I recently caught up with him after a couple of years at the Austin Comic Con in Austin, TX and talked shop and what’s on his current pull list. Read more...

It’s Star Wars Madness all over again! You can’t really go ANYWWHERE these days without seeing some sort of product tied into Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens or one of the previous films! It’s pretty nuts! And while some of the products are pretty amazing and we hope our stockings stuffed with them this holiday season (like the awesome mobile controlled BB-8 robot or lightsaber chopsticks), there have been more than a few SW merch items that well....just have us scratching our collective heads in confusion. Why do they exist? Who thought they were a good idea? Why do we STILL sort of WANT them? Read more...

Judith's role in the 2016 sequel is not yet specified, but from the looks of her she definitely means business!  Read more...

The Legendary Creator Announces His Exclusivity San Diego, CA (March 29, 2015) – Today it was announced at Seattle’s Emerald City Comicon 2015 that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman has signed an exclusive contract with IDW Publishing, which will see all his new projects created solely with IDW.
