For many years, the theme of the crossover between characters of separate fiction series has been witnessed by audiences in a number of entertainment mediums: comic books, video games, film, television, etc. Sometimes, the crossover is the subject of a specific television series episode (like say the Simpsons/Family Guy crossover episode of Family Guy for example) or even a specific issue of a comic book series. Additionally, history has witnessed the existence of kind of comic book series where each issue of such finds the series' protagonist interacting with guest characters of another fiction series. Think back to comic book series like DC Comics' The Brave and the Bold (particulary the first series volume after issue 50) and Marvel Comics' Spider-Man Team-Up as well as IDW Publishing's Powerpuff Girls Super Smash-Up (where Powerpuff Girls encounter protagonists of a number of other Cartoon Network original series). Moreover, as I am the kind of comic book reader who can never resist the might and beauty of female action heroes despite whatever story I read on comic book pages or watch on television and film, there is indeed a number of sexy heroines (including those of the superhero type) in comics I have never read stories about before but want to explore myself. bats1So, okay. I’ve probably been TOO quiet on the fact that at San Diego Comic Con, Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder went and dropped the bomb on all of us that Superman will be encountering Batman in a future movie. Finally we will get to see The Caped Crusader and The Man of Steel on screen together on film. Geeks everywhere are collectively trying to contain our excitement. We’ve all waited our lives for this movie. Alas, with Christopher Nolan’s Batman franchise seemingly over and done, Christian Bale will most likely probably not be the Batman we will see in this particular adventure. So, of course, speculators are now doing what they do best...speculating. Read more...
