For the first time, it is my honor to walk you through DC’s Legends of Tomorrow each week like I did for Flash, Arrow and Supergirl last season. However, as I watched the two-part season premiere for examination and exploration here I was immediately struck by how different this series is structurally from the rest of the Arrowverse.   Read more...

Happy July 4th week to all of my American friends and family! Now, I may not be from the ‘ol U.S. of A., but that doesn’t mean I can’t celebrate America’s 240th birthday with a special red, white and blue Bleed! When it comes to comics, there has been a lot more than a few heroes that embody the ideals of the American people, and vigilantly defend what the country was meant to stand for. Both Marvel and DC have more than a few heroes that not only fight to defend the citizens of their country, but  basically wear the flag to do it!  Read more...

admin-ajax.phpThis column is actually going to be a review column. Meaning that I am reviewing two books by DC Comics, and will give my usual play by play. This column is also about Lobo. You know the Main Man, Mister Machete, The Ultimate Bastich. He was all the rage back in the 90's, a DC version of Wolverine with a little Punisher thrown in. He ruled the comic book shelves with mini series after mini series and most notably in LEGION and Rebels. My point? Although he started out as a villain, he became DC's biggest anti-hero riding a hog and getting it done, mainly by killing stuff. That is Lobo, a biker who is huge that kills stuff. That said Lobo came back to DC in two separate comic books. In one he is by seeing him in just one page Lobo, the other he some kind of skinny exercise suit wearing...thing...I guess. One of these books is getting a decent rating, the other isn't. Can you guess which one isn't? Lets get started. Read more...

Hey folks! Welcome to part 2 (of 2) of my look at comic book character costumes! Last week I listed all the costumes I adored, well this week I will not be so kind. This week, I list my top 10 costumes that I think the creators were smokin’ that Oliver Queen (Hopefully everyone will get that reference, and if you don’t...who are you and what did you do to my real Bleederz?!). Yes it is time to reveal my worst costumes ever. These are the heroes criminals laugh their butts off when they arrive to save the day, and the villains the superheroes tell jokes about around the water cooler. I may catch some heat for some of these picks, but keep in mind these are the costumes I personally find the absolute ugliest. I learned one thing about myself after making up this list, there isn’t any female character with a costume I particularly dislike. Hm. Go figure. Let the horror commence! Read more...
