It shouldn’t have taken this long. Wonder Woman, the first full-fledged female superhero, created in 1942 by Charles Moulton Marston (also the creator of the polygraph test, in case you didn’t know) and H.G. Peter and maybe one of the most recognized comic book icons in history should have gotten a live action, full-length, wide released film adaptation DECADES ago. But perhaps the world was not ready. Perhaps female-led superhero movie flops like Catwoman and Elektra held things back. But let’s be honest here. The fact that Barb Wire got a movie before Wonder Woman is just too embarrassing. She stole the show by uniting with Batman and Superman in BvS, and now Gal Gadot is back in the tiara and strapping on the golden lasso of truth in her own solo movie as Wonder Woman!  The San Diego Comic Con fans got the first look at the brand new trailer, and now we have it here for all to feast their eyeballs on! DXXL| Retro: It's November, most of the leaves have fallen from the trees, the days and nights are getting chillier (at least up here in NW Pa) and the scary movies that have been running nonstop or TV have been replaced with warm fuzzy let's go home movies. November is also the harbinger of the snow season, and although we haven't seen any of the white stuff here, if you get in the car and drive over to the mountains (large hills in Pa) you will see a couple feet of the stuff already. Like all of us I have a list of my favorite movies of all time. My list hopefully is nothing like yours, so when we do talk about movies we have different opinions. I don't break my favorite movies down into categories, if I like them I do and it doesn't matter to me what genre it comes in. I like Beckett with Peter O'Toole and Richard Burton it is my favorite movie of all time, I also like Meet Joe Black and will watch any of the three productions of it, not caring if it's in black and white, techno color or today's version. All three have my favorite line from any movie in them and that and how it's said makes it for me.   Read more...
