Last week, still jacked into the Framework, Coulson and the crew “raged against the machine”...literally, and hijacked Sunil Bakshi’s (yeah, THAT jerk came back) pro-Hydra talk show...and basically told the world that Hydra is “fake news”. That was merely step one in trouncing Aida’s fabricated world. Next would be escaping the Framework altogether, and finally waking up. Read more...

While last week’s episode wasn’t the fastest paced episode all season, it did provide us with a shocking ending! Coulson and Jeff Mace a.k.a. The Patriot infiltrated Hydra HQ to find Daisy Johnson (who had been captured), while there they rescued Trip (HE’S BACK!), who had been embedded in Hydra as a double agent only to be discovered and captured. They also discovered that children (some of Coulson’s students even) were being brainwashed!! While saving the kids, Aida and Evil Fitz ordered a Quinjet to take down the entire building where the kids were being conditioned. After discovering the horrible things Hydra was doing to innocent children, May, who had been a pretty nasty and loyal Hydra agent, switched sides and decided to help. BUT in order for everyone to escape, Mace had to sacrifice his life. At the end of the episode, May goes to Daisy’s cell and breaks open a Terrigen crystal, cocooning Daisy and giving her back her Quake abilities. Read more...

It’s been a great fourth season of AoS so far. Starting with the MCU debut of Robbie Reyes, the new Ghost Rider, and the LMD story arc has been pretty awesome, but in my eyes, this latest episode of Agents truly took the crown as probably the best episode of the season so far. Building up to this, we saw the Watchdogs and their leader The Superior along with former S.H.I.E.L.D. ally Holden Radcliffe and his sinister and seductive LMD Aida take Director Mace prisoner and last week Coulson and the crew came to the rescue....but then, things got weird. Somewhere along the mission (I’m still not sure when or how) Aida replaced almost the entire team with evil LMDs! Read more...

This week we got an interesting change of pace on AoS. And while I haven’t been totally on board with “Philinda”...after this week’s episode, I am starting to get it. Last week S.H.I.E.L.D. director Jeff Mace was captured by the Watchdogs while Daisy Johnson was “Quaking” the crap out of Tucker Shockley (who basically was “gifted” with the powers of classic Marvel baddie, Nitro). The Watchdogs and their “Superior” Anton Ivanov, used  Shockley to distract S.H.I.E.L.D. and took Mace as their prize. Of course they did...it’s not like they would just have some “Inhuman alien filth” hanging around. They killed two birds with one stone there. Read more...

Even though I’ve been a die-hard viewer since the beginning, even I have to admit that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been hit-and-miss over its 4 seasons. And with so many “comic book” TV shows around, it’s beginning to be harder to defend it sometimes. But sometimes an episode comes along that utilizes the show’s full potential. It’s in the writing, you see. A spy show set in the world of superheroes has so much potential, it's ridiculous. And if you've stuck with it, you can see why the show has its fans...and also why it frustrates others at the same time. It just can't seem maintain the stride it needs to be consistent. Read more...

Welcome back to another AoS review! After an attack of Skynet proportions by Holden Radcliffe’s LMD prototype Aida and the revelation that anti-Inhuman senator Ellen Nadeer’s brother Vijay was himself a speedster Inhuman last week, this week we return to focus on Jeff Mace, the new S.H.I.E.L.D. director. Welcome back! Hope everyone had a good holiday season. It’s a new year, and with that comes the second half of Season 4 of AoS! The second portion of the season is titled L.M.D., which (in case you don’t read the comics) stands for Life Model Decoy. In comic lore, L.M.D.s are traditionally robotic decoys used by S.H.I.E.L.D. to trick their enemies and even their allies sometimes on missions. Nick Fury Sr. used to use them all the time...in fact, we recently found out that he has used them A LOT more than we ever knew about and he’s been growing old and crazy in space for decades...we aren’t even sure if we’ve EVER truly seen the actual Fury in action over the past 5 decades of comics. If you are a Cinematic Universe only fan, you will remember Tony Stark mentioning he is not one when Coulson unexpectedly visits Stark Tower in the beginning of the first Avengers film. That was a cool little easter egg at the time, but now Agents has decided to make L.M.D.s a major storyline arc. Fun! Read more...
