For many years, the theme of the crossover between characters of separate fiction series has been witnessed by audiences in a number of entertainment mediums: comic books, video games, film, television, etc. Sometimes, the crossover is the subject of a specific television series episode (like say the Simpsons/Family Guy crossover episode of Family Guy for example) or even a specific issue of a comic book series. Additionally, history has witnessed the existence of kind of comic book series where each issue of such finds the series' protagonist interacting with guest characters of another fiction series. Think back to comic book series like DC Comics' The Brave and the Bold (particulary the first series volume after issue 50) and Marvel Comics' Spider-Man Team-Up as well as IDW Publishing's Powerpuff Girls Super Smash-Up (where Powerpuff Girls encounter protagonists of a number of other Cartoon Network original series). And if you are a fan old-school Scooby-Doo, you probably are familiar with The New Scooby-Doo Movies, which features Scooby and the Mystery Machine gang interacting with guest characters each episode. Welcome back to the end of the week wrap up party. This is where we find out if Shia LaBeouf is being sued by Nike for his “Just do it” motivational speech and if the NY Post publishes more drivel than a knock knock joke book. We also lost Vincent Bugliosi this week. Not an actor, but is well known as the man who helped put Charles Manson and his “family” in prison. All of these people touched our lives in some way and they will be greatly missed. Read more...

For those of you who never saw or heard of a roast, it usually goes like this: people celebrate the life of a celebrity by poking fun at certain aspects of the celeb himself or herself in a way that refers the audience to what is true about that celeb.  You know, satire. Anyway, after watching the Bieber roast, I have been thinking about what fictional characters in comic books and cartoons I would like to see get roasted and the kinds of funny comments I would want to make if I was meet face to face with them.  Now, before I reveal the characters I would want to roast and what roast comments I would say to each, be warned that this feature at ENR may contain content some readers may find offensive, so READER DISCRETION IS STRONGLY ADVISED.
