Well, the Oscars are once again upon us, and while this years’ ceremony is shrouded with controversy, I think it’s only going to HELP the ratings rather than hurt them. I mean, aren’t we all wondering what the host, Chris Rock, is going to say? Now a couple of years back I did a hilarious column about Oscar categories that don’t exist, will never exist, but should exist. They were weird and spectacular all at the same time...and would have us actually WANT to tune into a 4 hour long award show with rich and famous people giving gold to rich and famous people. d 1Hello again to you the beloved masses of dedicated comic fans I affectionately call the eXPress Legions. It is once again my pleasure to engage you in more pop culture discussion here on these pages and I thank you for reading. After seeing captain America 2 twice in one day I started thinking of other films that should be made based on properties owned by the giant corporate mouse. There are literally thousands of properties Disney owns including Star Wars and Marvel (better watch out Hasbro) and choosing only five for me was difficult. disney logoJay Rasulo, Disney's Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer,  held an investors conference on Thursday 12th September 2013 at the Bank  of America Merrill Lynch 2013 Media, Communications & Entertainment  Conference. During a question and answer session, Rasulo divulged a wealth of  information about the company and touched upon the direction in which  the company is headed in the near future. the-walking-dead-and-toy-story-share-the-same-plotWell, some people may think the basic concept of Walking Dead may not be that original, I mean, the zombie survival story is not a new thing...but at least we may have never had so much character development and in-depth storytelling put into a zombie tale before. Robert Kirkman's world of zombie survivalism is definitely taking the geek-world by storm. And whenever I sit down for an episode, the opening theme always gets me ready for some good 'ol zombie bashing fun! But what happens when you add Disney/Pixar's loveable Toy Story characters into the mix?   Sounds kinda weird, but this video has been making the rounds and we at ENR found it pretty entertaining.  Read more...
