The 4th season of agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has indeed been all over the place, but it’s been (arguably) the best one the show has ever done, and without any blatant connections to a Marvel Studios film. Sure there was Daisy Johnson’s Sokovia Accords hearing and Jeff Mace/The Patriot’s fame he got from being an “accidental hero” during U.N. attack (both being events from Captain America: Civil War) and the introduction of the mysterious Darkhold, a mystical book that delves into the same territory as Doctor Strange, but for the most part this season of AoS basically ran on its own steam. And, thanks to the assist by Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider and the amazing job by the show’s special effects team, the series has been all the better for it. Read more...

Yeah, I’m pretty proud of that title. Don’t worry, Fitz didn’t hit any fans in this week’s episode. But plenty of other stuff that rhymes with Fitz did! The Agents thought it was smooth sailing when they escaped the Framework, but silly them! Things are never smooth with them. As soon as one problem is solved, an even bigger one arises. This week was prime example of that. Read more...

So, in case you missed Agents last week, well, it was probably the coolest season premiere for the show yet! We got introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes), Daisy Johnson has distanced herself from S.H.I.E.L.D. to hunt down the remaining Watchdogs, May possibly got possessed by some apparition, and there is now a mysterious new director of S.H.I.E.L.D. This season on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: It was a rollercoaster of a season as Daisy Johnson and Director Coulson tried to help the growing Inhuman population by rescuing them, educating them and offering them a spot on a spec ops team headed by Johnson named The Secret Warriors. This was not an easy task ahead of them as President Ellis is forced to establish his own, more militant tactical squad to handle what was seen by the general population as an alien outbreak called the ATCU, headed by a steely eyed, stern woman named Rosalind Price. Previously on A.O.S.: Hive’s master plan revealed! He plans on transforming the human world into Inhumans! How? By kidnapping scientist Holden Radcliffe and “forcing” him to recreate the Kree process that turned the original generation of prehistoric inhumans (Hive is one of them). Read more...

Previously on “Agents of HIVE”: This Neo dressing prettyboy ancient Inhuman cultist guy is going WAY TOO FAR! Hive (who is inside the dead body of Grant Ward) has the abilities to infect his fellow Inhumans and making them become his loyal minions. He has done so to the nearest and dearest S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and the main heroine of the show: Daisy “Quake” Johnson! Last week we found out he also voodoo’d James (and they exposed him to Terrigen, giving him the powers of his comic book counterpart, Hellfire), as well as the redhead femme fatale who can duplicate herself (like Jamie Madrox), Alicia. Daisy brought Hive the Kree orb that James gave S.H.I.E.L.D., but Hive immediately knew there was a piece missing. James buried that piece under his trailer, but when Coulson and May arrived, they set a bomb! Coulson was fine though...because he had an ENERGY SHIELD built into his cybernetic hand. It was awesome, and it was a clear nod to Captain America: Civil War. Another silent nod to the movie would come as Glenn Talbot contacted Coulson to tell him that Gideon Malick (who Daisy exploded two weeks back) gave up enough intel for the government to raid all of the straggling Hydra facilities, possibly crippling the terrorist organization for good (but probably not). I get the feeling the new Marvel movie (in theaters NOW, go see it!) will take over from there. Read more...

Previously on AoS: Gideon Malick in custody! Gorgon taken down! Secret Warriors assembled! But as soon as everything looks great for Daisy’s team, everything falls apart as Malick informs Coulson that Hive likely has infected one of his Inhuman agents. But which one?! Yo-Yo? Joey? Lincoln? Could it actually be the leading heroine in the show, Daisy? After Malick is murdered in his cell and they discovered the Kree artifact that they got from James was in Lincoln’s locker, they suspect and inprison him, but was it planted? YES! Lincoln IS NOT the mole. It’s actually the person we least expected: DAISY “QUAKE/SKYE/TREMORS” JOHNSON!!! NO!!! WHY? HOW? Read more...

Previously on AoS: The team desperately are on the hunt for Hive, an ancient inhuman possessing the dead corpse of their former teammate turned enemy, Grant Ward. May caught up with one of the inhumans under Hive’s control, Giyera and beat him in a fight. Which was pretty awesome, seeing as Giyera has powers and Melinda is simply 100% badass. Read more...
