I don’t know what kind of being James Gunn is at this point. He seems like a director of geekcentric film that was built from the ground up for the benefit of mankind. He just seems to get it. He knows that in these times we need films that are fun from beginning to end and will absolutely take us away from our complicated lives for a couple of hours. Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2, like its predecessor, does that spectacularly. Read more...

Here we are fully underway in 2017 and there are a helllluva lot of comic book movies happening this year! I’m excited! Now I know that’s no surprise...people call me the most positive fanboy on the planet. I give every movie the chance to impress me, and I admit it, I’m an easy sell. That’s just the person I am. I suppose I’m simply one of those fans that remembers a time when comic book and superhero movies were few and far between, and clearly not the level they are now. His latest film (his eighth)  the Hateful Eight  (or H8ful Eight in promotional art) is another exploration of “the Old West’ much like his last film Django Unchained. However, that film was set in slave era pre-Civil War in the South and this is post-Civil War Wyoming around the time of its most notorious outlaws. Read more...

It was released in 1986 and stars; Kurt Russell as Jack Burton, Dennis Dun as Wang Chi, Kim Cattrall as Gracie Law, Victor Wong as Egg Shen and James Hong as David Lo Pan. 22 jump 2Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill are two hot actors in Hollywood right now. After capturing lightning in a bottle with the movie adaptation of the hit television series 21 Jump Street, there were naturally plans for a sequel, which could make or break this burgeoning franchise. Well, those fears have been allayed as this installment might repeat some jokes from the first, but is a very funny movie in its own right and continues to prove that Channing Tatum has the comedic chops to boot.
