I don’t really know where to begin with this review. Here we have a movie that actually wanted to do something unique and unorthodox and it actually achieves that. It wanted to take characters mostly known as villains and make them antagonists that you want to root for. We got that. It wanted to provide action, comedy and yes even a little dash of dramatic moments, it gives us all of that. It wanted to have a VERY respected director in David Ayer (let’s not get things twisted...this is the guy that made TRAINING DAY), give us his unwavering, skewed vision of the DC Universe underworld without any compromise...and he did. So. What more were we looking for, here? Read more...

The Terminator franchise is highly beloved, yet deeply frustrating for most fans. For every great outing, the first two films and The Chronicles of Sarah Connor television show, we get a frustratingly disappointing outing, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines and Terminator: Salvation. After Salvation, the franchise was in a standstill with the rights up in the air and eventually being bought up or else they would revert back to series creator James Cameron. The end result was Terminator: Genisys, a fun, frustrating, and disappointing film that retreads old ground a bit while blazing a new path. Read more...

By Dave Michaels (FPB) a-good-day-to-die-hard-trailer-bruce-willis-john-mclaneLet’s get one thing straight here. It’s A Good Day To Die Hard isn’t a horrible movie, it’s just not all that complicated. The movie is about aging hero-cop John McClane finding out his son, who has not been seen in a movie since he was a baby in DH1, is involved in some mess where he is put in jail for an assassination. Turns out that Jack (or John McClane Jr., portrayed by Jai Courtney) is undercover for the CIA, and is actually supposed to protect a political whistleblower, whom he is supposed to testify against. John McClane Sr. (Bruce Willis), ventures to Moscow to find out what’s going on with his boy. Of course, the whistleblower, a former nuclear scientist named Komarov, is a target of bad guys and McClane finds himself teaming with his son to protect this guy. Chaos ensues. Lots of it.
