Here we are fully underway in 2017 and there are a helllluva lot of comic book movies happening this year! I’m excited! Now I know that’s no surprise...people call me the most positive fanboy on the planet. I give every movie the chance to impress me, and I admit it, I’m an easy sell. That’s just the person I am. I suppose I’m simply one of those fans that remembers a time when comic book and superhero movies were few and far between, and clearly not the level they are now. I am enjoying this amazing era we are living in! Read more...

The superhero era of movies has a lot to thank Hugh Jackman and his portrayal of Wolverine for, when you think about it. The first X-Men movie in 2000 was a massive hit and Hugh’s portrayal of the adamantium clawed, stogey smoking, hairy Canadian was a big part of that success. As a diehard fan of the X-Men comics and Wolverine being my favorite superhero of them all...he wasn’t a perfect comic accurate Logan by any sense of the word. He was too tall, too young, too good looking...not stalky enough...not “Canadian” enough. When I first read that they had casted an AUSTRALIAN in the role I nearly threw up in fear it was the failed 80’s X-Men cartoon pilot all over again. Read more...

A few months back, I (alongside my friend Mike), went back to my old Junior High School for a day of wondering the halls, checking out our old classrooms and doing a great deal of "Remember When...". And what was the special occasion, you might ask? Ramay Junior High School was having a special Open House Day in honor of the school's Fiftieth Anniversary. Read more...

Even though I’ve been a die-hard viewer since the beginning, even I have to admit that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been hit-and-miss over its 4 seasons. And with so many “comic book” TV shows around, it’s beginning to be harder to defend it sometimes. But sometimes an episode comes along that utilizes the show’s full potential. It’s in the writing, you see. A spy show set in the world of superheroes has so much potential, it's ridiculous. And if you've stuck with it, you can see why the show has its fans...and also why it frustrates others at the same time. It just can't seem maintain the stride it needs to be consistent. Read more...

It's been a long while since I have sat in front of my keyboard and did this and all I can say is spell check is wonderful. Enough of that though. It is well documented (by me), that I am not what anyone would call a gamer. For the most part I am satisfied with Mario Kart and the like. Read more...

Welcome to my 6th consecutive Bleedie Awards! My yearly column where I give totally fabricated awards to the best (in my opinion) in comics and comic themed TV, video games and movies! This year in many ways was an interesting one, with DC revamping their line of books yet again with Rebirth and Marvel once again going to Civil War! Also, the Star Wars comics once again rocked and ruled from a galaxy far away! Read more...
