In the last episode, we saw Barnes murder at least two men. Alice Tetch’s blood has turned him into some crazed vigilante. When he “switches” he becomes judge, jury and executioner. He’s on a mission to find all of the guilty in Gotham. Unfortunately, Dr. Simon didn’t die before he could tell newly reinstated GCPD officer, Jim Gordon, that Barnes was responsible for throwing him through a wall. Read more...

Last week we were given the gift of two Master B’s. Are two Bruce Wayne’s better than one? Ivy Pepper is now all grown up and finding her inner Lorax. Dr. Lee made her way back to Gotham and Jim Gordon made out with the most annoying reporter who ever lived. What could possibly top all of that this week? Read more...

Last week we saw that Fish Mooney’s new powers aren’t really all that powerful.  Her body is rejecting her newly implanted DNA and she’s on the hunt for Hugo Strange to fix her. Alfred got knocked the hell out and Master B got abducted by a Talon. Ivy was branded a spy and thanks to spoilers released by the show itself we know she didn’t die while trying to escape. We met the most annoying new character, Valerie Vale and we got some more Emo Bruce time. Read more...

Now that we’re all back from our little trip to Switzerland we can get back to Gotham.  Forever ago we left Gotham in a bit of a mess. Jim Gordon finally caught Hugo Strange with a basement full of monsters at Indian Hill. Unfortunately, it was too late for Strange to blow them up, Fish Mooney helped them all escape. While Fish was setting the former Arkham inmates free Penguin and Butch were teaming up again to take back the title of King of Gotham, or just the best dynamic duo we’re probably going to get in this series. We were also introduced to the Court of Owls last season and best yet we caught a glimpse of a look-a-like Bruce Wayne.  Season three episode one has a lot to live up to. Read more...

The season finale of Gotham’s season two was nothing shy of amazing. And silly, oh so silly. It’s fine though, it’s a show based on a fictional city that was created for a comic book, it’s not supposed to be real it’s just supposed to be really good. Read more...

There’s no way to keep this spoiler-free so if you haven’t watched episode 21 of Gotham and don’t want anything spoiled come back and read this after you’ve watched it. Hugo Strange has been manufacturing monsters at Indian Hill and from what we’ve seen he’s been very successful. Unfortunately, everybody has a boss and Strange’s boss considers his accomplishments to be unsuccessful. It has to do with what a lot of people are disliking about Strange, he’s creating these villains.  He brings them back to life and then implants a false memory that will ultimately serve him.  It was getting sad to think that Strange would be the creator of all of Gotham’s supervillains. That turned out to be Strange’s agenda but not his boss’s. So who is Strange’s boss? Perhaps it’s more appropriate to say bosses. Read more...

Episode 20 of Gotham had all the makings of a blockbuster action movie. If this was 1998. Still, that’s pretty good for a television show about supervillains and no superhero. From start to finish this episode was fun to watch, even with the bad actors. By now everyone should know that Theo Galavan has been reanimated by Hugo Strange.  During the process Theo forgot who he was and needed a new purpose in life so Strange implanted the idea that Theo is now Azrael and his mission is to kill Jim Gordon. He has so far been unsuccessful in his mission but Gordon isn’t waiting around for the day that he is. He enlists the help of Theo’s sister Tabitha.  Tabitha knows where Azrael’s sword and all its mystical powers is.  Cue the bad acting scenes. This part, like a 90s action movie, is predictable. For some reason FOX is attempting to stretch out season two for as long as possible. Last week we got yet another re-run which totally screwed up the momentum. Last night’s show should have been incredible but it was just sorta meh. Two weeks ago we were witnessing the resurrection of Theo Galavan, then last week we got a re-run where we re-watched (maybe, but probably not) Theo Galavan being murdered down by the river. Then this week we got to see him come back to life again. This doesn’t work so well in a time when people can easily switch the channel and find something better to watch. Lose the momentum, lose the interest. Episode 19 did have some moments worth tuning in for, but any more interruptions in the flow and it will start to feel like a chore to watch. Read more...
