It was only a matter of time before I got to this one, right? One of the coolest aspects of comicdom has always been the fact that many of our heroes need spiffy, space-age vehicles to get around in, right? I mean, how else is the Fantastic Four going to get to Latvaria to battle Dr. Doom or the X-Men going to get to wherever the Brotherhood is causing trouble? They need transportation! Over the years there’s been a great amount of vehicles that have come along...and then...not so much. This here’s a list of the coolest of the cool, so don’t expect the Spider-Buggy or the Jokermobile or anything weird like that. Also, the Guardians’ Milano was JUST introduced in the comics, so that didn’t make the cut either! And as always, your favorite may not make the list! My apologies, but you know how hard it is to please EVERYONE! Feel free to air your opinion in the comments section! Read more...

It shouldn’t have taken this long. Wonder Woman, the first full-fledged female superhero, created in 1942 by Charles Moulton Marston (also the creator of the polygraph test, in case you didn’t know) and H.G. Peter and maybe one of the most recognized comic book icons in history should have gotten a live action, full-length, wide released film adaptation DECADES ago. But perhaps the world was not ready. Perhaps female-led superhero movie flops like Catwoman and Elektra held things back. But let’s be honest here. The fact that Barb Wire got a movie before Wonder Woman is just too embarrassing. Here we are fully underway in 2017 and there are a helllluva lot of comic book movies happening this year! I’m excited! Now I know that’s no surprise...people call me the most positive fanboy on the planet. I give every movie the chance to impress me, and I admit it, I’m an easy sell. That’s just the person I am. I suppose I’m simply one of those fans that remembers a time when comic book and superhero movies were few and far between, and clearly not the level they are now. I am enjoying this amazing era we are living in! Read more...

Great Hera! It is Wonder Woman's 75th Anniversary! The Amazing Amazon first appeared in All-Star Comics #8, the December 1941 issue. The character was created by William Moulton Marston, as well as both Marston's wife Elizabeth Holloway Marston and artist H.G. Peter. Both of the latter were not credited. The Marstons co-inhabitant Olive Byrne is credited as being the pattern for Wonder Woman's physical appearance. Marston patterned the character after the feminists of the day. One such example is that of Feminist Margaret Sanger. With the exception of a brief time in 1986, Wonder Woman's adventures have been continuing unabated for the entirety of the past 75 years! Well, we’re just a few weeks away from probably one of the most anticipated superhero films ever. Finally, after GENERATIONS of comic book fans waiting for it to happen, the two most popular comic book characters in history will finally meet head-to-head in a film. Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will be when it will happen and, as the title entails, our heroes (played by Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck respectively) will first collide, and then inevitably join forces and form the Justice League (SPOILER ALERT). And oh yes, there is a third character in the mix, the Amazonian warrior princess, Wonder Woman (played by Gal Gadot), not to mention Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) no doubt manipulating the whole confrontation behind the scenes and releasing the destructive Doomsday on the world! Will there be more? You betcha! Most of the future JL members are rumoured to have cameos, including Aquaman (Jason Mamoa) and Vic Stone/Cyborg (Ray Fisher). This movie is jam-packed! Read more...
