I am putting the column that I WAS going to write for this week on hold until NEXT week. I want to dedicate this column to my father, Jessie Frazier.
On March 7th, my father was out in the yard, and took a bad fall. He seemed fine, but several days later, could not walk. When we took him to the hospital, we found that he has osteoporosis, and had crushed a bone in his spine. My mother and I have been taking turns staying overnight at the hospital with him. He had corrective surgery on Wednesday morning (kyphoplasty), and is doing much better. He goes for rehab starting today.
I have my Father and Mother, Hazel Frazier, to thank for my well spent and well remembered childhood. They not only raised me, they also kept me well stocked in the necessities of life -- food, shelter, comic books!
