It shouldn’t have taken this long. Wonder Woman, the first full-fledged female superhero, created in 1942 by Charles Moulton Marston (also the creator of the polygraph test, in case you didn’t know) and H.G. Peter and maybe one of the most recognized comic book icons in history should have gotten a live action, full-length, wide released film adaptation DECADES ago. But perhaps the world was not ready. Perhaps female-led superhero movie flops like Catwoman and Elektra held things back. But let’s be honest here. The fact that Barb Wire got a movie before Wonder Woman is just too embarrassing. Great Hera! It is Wonder Woman's 75th Anniversary! The Amazing Amazon first appeared in All-Star Comics #8, the December 1941 issue. The character was created by William Moulton Marston, as well as both Marston's wife Elizabeth Holloway Marston and artist H.G. Peter. Both of the latter were not credited. The Marstons co-inhabitant Olive Byrne is credited as being the pattern for Wonder Woman's physical appearance. Marston patterned the character after the feminists of the day. One such example is that of Feminist Margaret Sanger. With the exception of a brief time in 1986, Wonder Woman's adventures have been continuing unabated for the entirety of the past 75 years! Previously in the first half of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3: Coulson continued to operate S.H.I.E.L.D. in secret and the team got to tracking down new Inhumans that recently underwent Terrigenisis by consuming fish and fish oil supplements because a substantial amount of Terrigen infected the ecosystem. At the same time, President Ellis instated a publicized agency called the ATCU as a response team to the inhuman “epidemic”, headed by a woman name Rosalind Price. As we learned more about Price and her agency, a new dangerous Inhuman called Lash was discovered to be murdering his own kind. Not trusting Price at first, Coulson eventually felt drawn to Price and the two eventually came to an understanding about how to handle the Inhuman problem, much to the dismay of Daisy “Skye” Johnson...and my own stomach. I was not a fan of the woman. Turns out Lash was none other than Agent May’s ex husband and S.H.I.E.L.D. ally, Andrew Garner. Read more...

It’s September! You know what that means! It’s another action-packed season of everyone’s favorite superhero spy TV show, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.! Last season things got more intriguing for the show than ever as Marvel’s first Cinematic Universe tied television project had the privilege of introducing the Inhuman race into the MCU, as we discovered that Skye (Chloe Bennett) was actually Daisy “Quake” Johnson, daughter of the villainous Mr. Hyde (played by veteran actor Kyle McLachlan). Daisy/Skye struggled for almost the whole season to deal with her newly discovered lineage as well as her extremely destructive powers. No, we did not get to encounter any of the Attilan royal family....but all in good time, right? After all, there is a movie slated for 2019 starring them. We have time. Read more...

ladies-600x420Happy International Women's Day everyone! I have to say, I love recognizing this important day every year because, well, women are awesome! And the strongest people that I value the most in my life...happen to be women! And that needs to be celebrated, not just on IWD, but EVERY day. So, like last year, I will do one of my lovely lists and this time, truly focus on GIRL POWER. Scary, extinction-level girl power! Today, I will count down the most powerful female heroes in comics. And to narrow it down and not just put up a bunch of cosmic-powered characters from the 90's nobody has ever heard of...I'm focusing on HEROINES ONLY. And let's be honest here, I know that I can't possibly put this list in an order that everyone is going to agree with, so keep the complaints to a minimum and let's celebrate ALL of these awesome, empowering characters! So keep it down, trolls! Especially you, Pip! Read more...

They have been filling up the game with as many characters as possible, and these two villains may be surprise entries to some. Ares and Killer Frost are joining the roster, and here's a trailer that has them at odds! Can the Queen of Ice take out the God of War? Read more...
