Preacher Co-Creator Steve Dillon Passes Away

Written by  Published October 22, 2016 01:21
ENR is saddened to report the passing of one of the comic book industry's modern icons. Co-creator of Preacher and current Punisher artist, Steve Dillon has passed away.

AmigosDetails are not yet known, but the unfortunate news was broke by Dillon's brother Glyn over Twitter, stating that Steve had "passed away in the city he loved, NYC". New York Comic Con was Dillon's final public appearance.

Mostly known for his beloved masterpiece along with Garth Ennis, Preacher (now adapted as a live-action TV show on AMC), Dillon also lent his distinct, signature art style to such comic titles as Hellblazer, Thunderbolts, Hitman, Judge Dredd, Animal Man, Wolverine: Origins, Punisher MAX (also alongside Ennis) and also the current Punisher ongoing series.

We at the ENR bullpen would like to express our deepest condolences to the family, friends, colleagues and fans of Mr. Dillon. His contributions to the comic industry and his memorable work will always be dear to us.
